Spurs have confirmed the signing of Simons in a major coup for manager Frank. THE BIGGER PICTURE

Simons arrives from Leipzig after a two-year spell in Germany, initially on loan before his deal was made permanent in January. He made 78 appearances for the Bundesliga club, scoring 22 goals and registering 24 assists. A 22-year-old prospect, he aligns with Spurs' recruitment policy and also answers their call for a James Maddison replacement, given his season-ending anterior cruciate ligament injury.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Simons came through Barcelona's academy and also played for Paris Saint-Germain, although he only made 11 first-team appearances for the latter. He has also won 28 caps for the Netherlands, scoring five goals.
